STEM Action Center

Science Teachers and parents can go to https://resources.stem.idaho.gov/ for resources for students of all ages. The Idaho STEM Action Center, in response to the current environment of students, parents, and teachers working and studying from home launched STEM@Home – a one stop-shop for STEM-tastic activities, experiments, and other STEM-related resources! These FREE resources will help ensure our STEM enthusiasts stay engaged during school closures, and that educators have the online learning tools they need to explore STEM horizons in new ways.

In addition, the STEM Action Center will be highlighting a select few cool activities for all ages through posts on Facebook or Twitter and a FB Live experiment every morning a 9:00 am.

Early STEM includes both online and offline activities for toddlers through 3rd grade including activities with Legos, activities that promote logic skills, games, and books with a science connection.

The Full Resource Catalog has a searchable data base of sites and activities that can be filtered by delivery, grade level, and resource type.

How do ecosystem disruptions impact biodiversity?

What happens to the biodiversity of an area when its ecosystem

is disrupted? In the new Make Extension, students will investigate

just that. Students will choose an ecosystem, map out how the

organisms interact and determine how the ecosystem disruption

impacts the energy cycles.
